about
Revelator is a visual diary I've been keeping since 2010. It is a curated view of what I've seen throughout the years.
I wasn't particularly interested in photography but at some point, I received a point and shoot film camera and ended up creating a tumblr. This was originally called revelator.tumblr and it was all about film photography. That's where the name comes from — revelator means photographic developer in Romanian.
Nowadays, I shoot a mix of analog and digital, on a bunch of different cameras.
Over the years it moved from one Tumblr to another, to a Flickr and eventually on Instagram. The current form aggregates all the posts from previous platforms, along with their metadata.
It is now self-hosted and running on its own blogging engine which is open source, though not yet ready for general use.
